Hollywoodland

Last night we decided to take in a movie at the Colossus in Langley. Having narrowed it down to 3 movies, we finally chose to see Hollywoodland. The movie is about the death of George Reeves, who played Superman on the old TV series, and the mystery surrounding it. Focusing mostly on the private detective trying to uncover the truth about the shooting, the film provides a few possible scenarios as to what may have actually happened, but eventually leaves you questioning the outcome as the murder/suicide is still unsolved. Good performances from Adrien Brody as the detective, and Ben Affleck as George Reeves highlight the movie. I think we both liked it, but it really was a so so movie in the end.
